Course description: Digital Scrapbooking in PhotoImpact

Scrapbooking, whether traditional or digital, has become a very popular way to save memories of family and friends, to be able, in the future, to look back to these handsomely displayed pictures and remember the good times, the travels, etc. Digital scrapping can take on many forms, web pages, slide shows created on the computer for showing on the computer or TV or even on the web, printed scrap pages, or scrap pages you create and just want to store on the computer, CD, or DVD. All are wonderful to have and fun to create. We'll cover these in this course. .

Prerequisites:

I've written this course using PhotoImpact 10, but you may use any version. Be aware that there are tool bars, menus, and effects that are different from version 10 so you should know the menus and tools of the version you have. You may use a trial version, but please keep in mind that the 30-day trial period will end before the course is completed. You should have a general working knowledge of PhotoImpact before beginning this course.

Week 1: Overview
What size pages should I make?
100 ppi vs 300 ppi?
How do I get these printed, and should I?
All right, what's wrong with these margins when I print my page?

Week 2: Photos
How do I size my pictures, should I crop them?
My pictures are too dark, fuzzy; help!
