Course description: Advanced Digital Cartooning
Digital Cartooning: original material written by Gary Hansen - taught by Norma Murphy.
Gary Hansen wrote these courses for VAA and bequeathed them to the school. His partner in the Viking Folkore site "Acadie" was very familiar with his material and was a long time friend. "Acadie" will now be teaching both of Gary's "Digital Cartooning" courses. The courses have been modified by Acadie, but the course material remains true to Gary's style. If you didn't have the pleasure of knowing Gary please read his memoriam at the PhotoImpact International site here.
This course will be presented over a six week period based on 2-3 hours of daily practice. You will practice making characters of your own from what you learn in the each lesson.
You may read Acadie's bio here.
This course was written to be presented over a six week time period based on 3-4 hours of daily practice. The lessons are for Advanced Digital Cartoon drawing with either a mouse or a pen and tablet and are a continuation of the Digital Cartooning course.
Skill Level: Advanced knowledge of your software of choice.
You must know your draw program well because I do not teach program skills. The daily lessons will take about 2 to 4 hours. When you complete this class you should be able to apply what you have learned and the way you have learned it to your web pages or any other work you do. But above all remember....practice..practice..practice..and have fun doing it!
