Course Description: Introduction to Microsoft Wordฎ
Word processing has taken many shapes and forms over the years. From the
hieroglyphics of the great Egyptians to the wax tablet, to the quill and papyrus, pen and paper, the typewriter, to the electronic format using desktop computers and laptops and, the more recent, the cell phone or Blackberry and all the hardware in between. Undoubtedly, technology has made the job a lot easier and cleaner and made those who care about the environment a lot happier in the process. The monitor or screen has replaced the actual paper until the final printing takes place.
Since the introduction of word-processing on personal computers, there has
been three products which made a name for themselves: WordStar by MicroPro being the grand-daddy of them all, Corel's WordPerfect and Microsoft's Word.
In this course we will be dealing exclusively with Word, Version 2002 although
most of the instructions will be just as usable in Word 6 on up.
Although the course is aimed at the beginner to intermediate user it does get
intense in certain lessons. It has been prepared for those who MUST learn how to use Word but have never gotten around to it, although some advanced users may find it useful.
