Course description: Landscape Painting: PhotoImpact - Lin McBee
This course is designed to help you learn more about painting realistic landscapes, fields, mountains or seashores and more. We will go into detail on how to paint your clouds, the texture of the mountains, how to get depth into your painting. This type of painting takes time and considerable attention to detail, but is well worth the end result.
Pre-requisites: Must have taken Creating Painting:Paint
tools Proficiency and Advanced Creative painting is
recommended, or be able to demonstrate to the instructor your
familiarity with the program and paint tools.
Software: Version 12,11,XL,10,8......Tools locations may vary
slightly but should be easily recognizable.
Lessons 1 and 2
In these lessons we will cover skys, some clouds, trees and
fields.
We will start a painting in Lesson 1 and complete it in Lesson
2.
We will cover the tools, the principles associated with the
scape and your color palettes.
Lessons 3 and 4
We will be painting mountain vistas with water in the
foreground and another type of sky.
Start a painting in Lesson 3 and complete it in Lesson 4.
Again, covering the tools used and the principles of balance
and light and shadow.
Lessons 5 and 6
In these last two lessons we will be covering the painting of a
seascape with waves and rocks and with a stormy sky.
Starting with the painting in Lesson 5, we will complete it in
Lesson 6.
We will look at wave formations, the light and contrast needed
for realistic formation and rock placements and shadows.
