Course Description: Filter Impact for PhotoImpact

This course is designed to help you learn about Filters and Plug-ins and have fun at the same time.
Filters and Plug-ins can be useful tools as well as creative ones. I've been using filters for almost as long as I've been using PhotoImpact and have picked up quite a few tips and tricks along the way.
We will be covering the use of filters and Plug-ins for Photo editing, creating your own art, Scrapbooking, Stationery, Frames and Masks among other things. Creative expression is a very personal thing and developing your own style is something that will happen in time. Therefore I will give you the guidelines to use your creativity; how you use it is up to you.

Prerequisites:

You must have PhotoImpact installed on your computer. It can be the trial version but you will not be able to complete this course during the 30 day trial period.
You will need two additional files: Plugin.dll which goes in your Windows/System folder. Plugin.dll is copyrighted to Adobe. You may already have this .dll file in your system folder if you have any earlier Adobe Products, such as Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Photo Deluxe.
The other file you will need is msvcrt10.dll which should be in your windows/system folder too. If you don't have a copy of msvcrt10.dll you can download it from the PhotoImpact Resource Centre. These files will need to be installed prior to starting the course.
You will need to know the Layout and tools of PhotoImpact. If you do not meet this criteria I would recommend taking the PIRC Beginners Workshop prior to enrolling in this class. You will also need to know how to zip and unzip files and install programs.
