Prerequisites:

UF 3 or 4 installed
Completion of Working with UltraFractal and UltraFractal Formulas 1 courses or have an authorization number from the instructor.


1.   What is a Coloring Formula?

   ºProgram flow—how are formulas used
   ºFormula structure
   ºReview complex numbers
   ºReview orbits

2.   Last Iterate

   ºThe "None" coloring
   ºDissecting the "basic" coloring
   ºPassing #z to the coloring formula
   ºInteraction between #index and the gradient
   ºUsing solid colors

3.   Orbit Monitoring and Trapping

   ºConcept
   ºShapes: points, lines, circles, rose curves, etc.
   º"Rose Range Lite," "Orbit Traps," etc.

4.   Drawing

   ºConcept
   ºShapes: lines, circles
   º"String Art," "Similar Paired Dissection," etc.

5.   What is a Transformation?

   ºProgram flow
   ºFormula structure
   ºSimple transformations: translation, scaling, rotation
   ºOther transformations and warping (reciprocal, pre-iterate, etc.)

6.   More Transformations

   ºClipping and solid colors
   ºMasking
   ºStacking transformations
