Course Description: Creative Video Editing - Eric Kenning
Coming in September 2010 - Creative Video Editing
This course will teach you the techniques of video editing and show how shots are assembled in a sequence that tell a story. There will be exercises on editing a music clip, editing an interview, adding sound tracks, special effects, working with overlay tracks, adding titles, photographs, graphics and key frame movement for titles and graphics.
The course has been designed for a student who is using editing software that has standard features such as multiple video and audio tracks, ripple editing the ability to crop images, adjust sound tract volume on individual tracks. The following software meets the criteria: Adobe Premiere Elements, Corel Video Studio Pro X3 and Sony Vegas Movie Studio standard and Platinum. Other software may also have the required features.
A student must have a good working knowledge of their computer operating system and video editing software and understand how to set up folders.
