Create a new folder on your hard drive and call it: Textures
Download
this zipped folder with 27 Art paper background textures (398 Kb) and unzip them
in the folder you just created. These textures are offered by
Acadie's Art. Thank you for sharing, Norma.
If you are using your own textures, give them a recognizable name, because the previews in
PhotoImpact are small and not very clear.
To use them for painting: After you have chosen your brush and adjusted all settings, click on the
Texture tab on the Attribute Toolbar. Then click: Add Texture

Browse to the folder where you stored the textures and click on a file name to add the texture
to the gallery. The thumbnail of the texture will show in your Brush Panel also.

The next time you need the texture, click the Texture button again and click: Select Texture:

Your textures will be added to the thumbnail gallery and when you hover your cursor over them, it will show the filename of that
particular texture.
Adding Textures to your
Texture Filter in PhotoImpact works in the same way. To open the Texture Filter:
Click on Effect in the Menu bar -- Fills and Textures -- Texture Filter.
