First lets open our EasyPalette and click on My Gallery if it is not the one you have open.

We are going to prepare our EasyPalette for our brushes that we want to make and save.
Click on Gallery Manager and then on Create....

This will open a new window. We are going to name a new gallery. I named mine Acadie-brush-preset, you would name yours:
yourname-brush-preset.

Now that is done, you have to determine where your new brushes folder will be located. Make a new folder at the location where you want it to.
Do remember where it is. Your EasyPalette will refer to it. Click OK when you have chosen your location.
You are back now with the previous window. Click on Add/Remove at the bottom.

Now that you are in "Group Management", click on Rename, we are not going to keep the Custom Group1

Give it a name of your choice. I named mine acadie-bristlebrush. Then click OK.

Now you can see that the tab group name has changed.
We are going to add one more group inyour brush gallery. Click on New.

This little window will appear, and this is where you type in the name for the new one. I named mine: acadie-charcoal-brush.
It is important that you include your name with the brush so that you and the people you share it with, know that these
are your brushes and which kind of brush it is. Then you click OK.

We have our two groups named in our group management. You could always add more later on but for now it will do. Click OK.

We are back in our first window that opened and we have given a name to our Brush Gallery, we have set up our folder, we have changed
the custom name to one of our own and we did added a new gallery. Great! Now click on OK and lets see what happens.

Let's have a look at our EasyPalette. Scroll down to the bottom. As you can see your new gallery is there with the two groups we just created.
Now the fun part begins.

Lets open a small canvas with a color of your choice, 100x100 pixel. Make sure it is RGB color. Here I did choose the bristle brush since I'm going to
make a bristle brush preset. In the Brush Panel I played with the settings until I got what I wanted. Once that is done I clicked on the Add button on
my Attribute Tool bar at the top of my copy of PhotoImpact.

This nice little window will open. As you can see it shows your little canvas plus the bristle brush icon in the bottom right corner. This will be
your thumbnail in your EP. Where it says Sample Name, you type in the name that you want to give to that specific brush.
Where it says: Gallery/Library, browse to the brush preset group you made earlier. For the tab group you navigate to your group, mine is acadie-bristlebrush.
This is where I want to save my brush preset. Once that is done click OK. Now let's see what we did.

All right, it did appear right where I wanted it to be. Great, now lets move on.

Now to make sure we do understand what we were doing, we are going to repeat the same steps. Open a new small canvas of 100x100 pixels.
But this time after you click on the Add button you have to add it to the charcoal group. When you have done so, click OK.

Great, now we have a brush preset in our charcoal group. Look at the little icon in the bottom right corner. It uses the charcoal brush icon now.
Let's move on to the next page to learn how to share and import new readily made presets in your EP.
PS: I just would like to add here, that if your are doing a painting and you want to save the brush you are using, click on the Standard Selection Tool
and select a part of your painting where you are using that specific brush, copy it and paste as a new image. Click on your brush again and then
click the add button on the Attribute Toolbar. It will add that part of your painting as the thumbnail for your EP.
